SFDanceworks

James Sofranko, artistic director

SFDanceworks Season Two was co-presented with the ODC Theater, June 22-24, 2017 in four sold out performances, featuring six works, including the U.S. premiere of Christopher Bruce’s Shadows, a world premiere by James Graham, and works by Alejandro Cerrudo, José Limón, Danielle Rowe and Penny Saunders.  The nine dancers hailed from companies such as San Francisco Ballet, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Nederlands Dans Theater, Alonzo King LINES Ballet, ODC/Dance, and more.

SFDanceworks invites and deserves all manner of generous support. Intelligent direction by Sofranko that sets aside ego and instant gratification in favor of curating programs consciously, and with an eye cultivated by the past but cast toward the future, should be prized and appraised with heartfelt enthusiasm and commitment. Bravo!

SFDanceworks is featured in the June issue of Dance Magazine.
