Join SFDanceworks for our third and final salon evening of 2018 with a panel discussion and reception featuring SFDW artists and collaborators. In the intimate setting of a private residence located in downtown San Francisco, artistic director James Sofranko will take you behind the scenes to discuss the role that music plays in creating a dance. On the panel will be Alton San Giovanni, composer of Danielle Rowe's world premiere for Season Three, along with choreographer Danielle Rowe, and pianist Ronny Michael Greenberg, who will discuss and play some of the Schubert Impromptus, which is the music James Sofranko's has chosen for his Season Three world premiere. We welcome and encourage you to be part of the conversation during this Q&A salon. A wine and light bites reception preceeds and follows the program.
